Engineering Firm Adopts New Audiovisual Technologies For Better Team Collaboration

A leader in “green” technology, and with 4 locations throughout New York State, M/E Engineering is an engineering firm with 125 employees, specializing in commercial and industrial mechanical engineering. Growing steadily since its founding in 1992, the firm needs to keep pace with its myriad projects and constant need for cutting-edge technology.

The Challenge

When M/E Engineering opened a new location in Schenectady, N.Y., they needed technology integrations that could keep pace with their rate of growth as a company. With team members in four locations throughout the state, clients located in various countries throughout the world, and many of the firm’s strategic leaders working remotely, the company needed collaboration technology that could facilitate long meetings held over multiple locations in numerous foreign locations.

Our Solution

Our team of AV experts designed the same solution for the conference room in the Schenectady as the Rochester location, using ClearOne conferencing system, which included two 65” Samsung displays with video capabilities extending via HDbaseT transmitters back to a conferencing hub. A Shure line MX720 microphone was used beneath the display along with a NUC-style PC to complete the conferencing solution.
